Spokesperson Lu Jie from the Global Service Center to Quit the CCP said since the publication of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party at the end of 2004, the daily count of people quitting the CCP had grown to thirty to forty thousand. The total number has reached 25 million. With the awaking of the Chinese people, the CCP would collapse soon. The Chinese society was facing a unprecedented drastic change.
Falun Gong practitioner and volunteer of the centre Ms. Zhang Zihong said the centre had more than ten stations in Hong Kong. Many volunteers persisted in distributing the Nine Commentaries and helping people quit the CCP, rain or shine. She said, "Our effort paid off. Many Chinese people have awakened and quit the CCP. Some volunteers can help fifty to sixty people quit the CCP in one day. Mr. Zhang has help one hundred and fifty people quit the CCP one day. More than five thousand people have quit the CCP at our station in Taiping Mountain."
People Look Forward to the Doom of the CCP
Ms. Zhang said someone from the Mainland China once brought a list of more than one thousand quitting statements. The volunteers were greatly encouraged. Among the people who quit the CCP were government officials and those who had faith in freedom. "A Christian from the Mainland China made an appointment to see us. He brought a quitting list of more than twenty people. He burst into tears and told us the cruel persecution of Christians by the CCP. He said the 'Nine Commentaries' was wonderful! The people had strong aversion to the CCP but couldn't help. They looked forward to the doom of the CCP."
Mr. Chu O Ming, one of the plaintiffs of the the lawsuits against chief persecution perpetrators Jiang Zemin, Li Lanqing and Luo Gan, condemned the CCP for persecuting countless innocent Chinese and called for the Chinese to break with the evil party. He said, "At the eve of the CCP's collapse, we sincerely warn those who are still committing crime against Falun Gong to clear their conscience and immediately stop these crimes. We hope they will leave a retreat for themselves. We sincerely hope all members of the CCP who haven't quit the party to awake, quit the evil party, be responsible for their own future, break away from the evil and not to be buried with the CCP."
Mr. Szeto Wah, the chair of The Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements in China, said the total number of 25 million people who quit the CCP indicated the CCP, the murderer of 80 million Chinese, had actually collapsed. "Who would support or believe in the CCP on seeing the corruption, the ganging between officials and businessmen, the lack of legal ruling, the moral corruption, the large gap between the rich and the poor, the disadvantaged classes, the continuous movements to safeguard people's rights and the destroy of the nature? I think the number of people who have quit the CCP in their hearts have by far exceeded 25 million."
Disintegrate CCP With Conscience and Peaceful Means
Mr. Zhen, a representative of China Human Right Forum in Hong Kong who attended the activity for the first time, praised the unique significance of the tide of quitting of the CCP. He said, "For these 25 million brave people, we don't need them to step out to risk their lives. Their withdrawal from the CCP was an action responsible for themselves and for their own conscience. It isn't not to tell me or you, it is to tell Gods that they won't help this evil regime to persecute the people. They are great!" Mr. Zhen said the peaceful withdrawal from the CCP was the best way to end the persecution, "We don't want to see loss of more lives because we are opposed to the CCP. We don't need to. We resort to our conscience and peaceful means. The evil regime and party is doomed."
Mr. Lam Wing-yin, a member of the Coalition to Investigate Persecution of Falun Gong in China and Councilman of Sai Kung District, said the Chinese people would not tolerate and keep silent as before. "They dare to protest in front of city governments and government offices. So what situation is the CCP facing? It is very weak, too weak to stand a gust of wind. The fact that 25 million people quit the CCP indicates the CCP will collapse soon."
Human Rights Torch Relay Praised for Helping End Persecution
Mr. Jia Jia, former Secretary General of the Shanxi Provincial Expert Association of Science and Technology, sent recorded greetings to the brave people who quit the CCP. He praised the important role the Chinese people in military had played. Besides the tide of quitting the CCP, the kick-off ceremony of Human Right Torch Relay was also exciting. Jia Jia condemned the CCP for utilising the Olympic Games to cover up its persecution of Falun Gong and other crimes and to secure its brutal regime. It is a blasphemy against the spirit of the Olympic Games. The Chinese people absolutely can not tolerate the CCP's utilisation of the Olympic Games to deceive the world and escalate the persecution. Mr. Jia believed the tide of quitting the CCP and the Human Right Torch would inspire the Chinese people to disintegrate the CCP tyranny.
Following the rally, the parade led by the Taiwan Celestial Band started from Cheung Sha Wan Playground around 2:15 and headed for Star Ferry. Crowds of people watched the parade along the way. The theme of the parade was agreed and supported by local residents and gave tourists from the Mainland China a great shock.
A local resident said, "I am in my sixties. For the sake of our younger generations, it is better not to have the Communist Party."
A tourist from the Mainland China said she was greatly shaken by the parade. The only thing she could see in China was slandering of Falun Gong in propaganda. What she saw today was completely different. She had changed her view.
The parade ended at Star Ferry around 5pm. The band gave an half-hour music performance and concluded the activities perfectly.
