On September 29th, Falun Gong practitioners participated in a parade held in the city of Yakima. Yakima is located in central Washington and is a world renowned apple production base. For the very first time, Falun Gong practitioners participated in this parade. They presented a "Fa Boat" float, on which several practitioners in yellow exercise suits and traditional Chinese attire demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, and gave traditional waist drum performances.
During the parade, the practitioners' procession received warm applause. After the parade, many spectators came up to thank the practitioners for their wonderful presentation. The "Fa Boat" received the First Place Award for its beautiful design.
