The First International Chinese Vocal Competition was held on October 15th-17th, 2007, in Kaufmann Concert Hall, New York City. On October 17th, New York State Senator Vincent Leibell issued a Citation in recognition of the First International Chinese Vocal Competition.

Whereas, A Great State is only as great as those persons or organisations who give exemplary service to their community, whether through participation in voluntary programs, through unique personal achievement in their profession or other endeavors, or simply through a lifetime of good citizenry; and
Whereas, When individuals or organisations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognised by the citizens of the great State of New York; now therefore be it
Resolved, That I am pleased to recognise and congratulate the New Tang Dynasty Television and Organising Committee upon celebrating the Chinese Vocal Competition in New York City; this celebration to be commemorated on Wednesday, October 17, 2007; and be it further
Resolved, That a copy of this Citation, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to the New Tang Dynasty Television and Organising Committee.
