Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Lin Shanchun lived in Shapingba District, Chongqing City. He was repeatedly abused by police officer Wu Hongquan (male) from the Jingkou Station. Wu arrested Mr. Lin in 2005, causing him to be sent to a forced labour camp, where he was severely injured in both mind and body. Lin Shanchun died on September 27th, 2007.
Lin Shanchun, 65, used to be very weak, but he became strong and healthy after beginning to practise Falun Dafa in 1996.
After Falun Dafa started being slandered when the persecution started in 1999, he went to Beijing to speak up for Falun Dafa. Police officers Wu Hongquan, Zuo Jin, and Song Guihua (all male) from the Jingkou Station took him to brainwashing sessions three times and sent him to the Xishanping Labour Camp twice.
In the latter half of July 2005, Wu Hongquan arrested Mr. Lin again and took him to the Xishanping Labour Camp. He took away all of Mr. Lin's Falun Gong books and materials.
Mr. Lin was severely harmed both mentally and physically in the camp, his old illnesses recurred, and he could not take care of himself. The Camp Administration refused to spend the money to have him visit doctors, and then, fearing being held responsible, notified Wu Hongquan to pick him up. Mr. Lin Shanchun died on September 27th, 2007.
Wu Hongquan is currently the director of the Qingmuguan Police Station in Shapingba District. He is the main person responsible for Mr. Lin Shanchun's death.
