The Chinese Medical Association recently promised that it would not transplant organs from executed prisoners. In response to this statement, Chiu Huangchuan, renowned human rights lawyer and deputy director of Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) Asia Chapter, pointed out that the most severe crime of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is it is harvesting organs from innocent people-- especially Falun Gong practitioners.

"This statement indicates that the CCP now acknowledges the fact that it has been using organs from executed prisoners for transplant. However, the more severe human rights issue is that it uses not only organs from executed prisoners but also other detainees." Mr. Chiu said. "There are many innocent Chinese people, especially Falun Gong practitioners, who have been arbitrarily detained and murdered for their organs. The regime has not made any response to charges in this area, yet this is in fact its most severe human rights crime."
Since the exposure of the organ harvesting atrocities in March, 2006, despite human rights groups' repeated request, the CCP refuses to allow the CIPFG to enter China to perform an in-depth investigation. Mr. Chiu commented: "The CCP shall not use organs from any detainees. More importantly, it should allow the CIPFG to perform an unrestricted investigation."
Dr. Haiying He, spokesman for the Global Coalition to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong practitioners, urged members of the Chinese Medical Association to confess what they did in the past and pledge not to use organs from Falun Gong practitioners for transplant in the future. Dr. He said: "They can certainly do this as medical professionals."
Recently, Liu Jiangchao, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry, revealed that a company in Shenyang is suspected to be involved in organ trafficking. The website of the Chinese International Organ Transplant Support Center promised to provide organ transplant service for Japanese people. The website contained much important information which suggested that there are live organ banks in China for organ trafficking. In addition, the website clearly stated that the company was supported by the Chinese Communist authorities.
