Hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners have been brutally persecuted at the Fanjiatai Prison, Hubei Province. Some of the persecution facts have appeared on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website; however, more have yet to be exposed.
Practitioners were tortured separately at the prison, especially prior to April of 2002. If practitioners themselves do not tell about their persecution experiences, others will not know about it. For example, practitioner Mr. Fang Longchao was detained alone. No practitioner detained after 2002 ever saw him. I asked an inmate who once monitored Mr. Fang, "What did Fang Longchao do every day?" He said, "He did not do anything. Every day he was made to stand by the window, from after he got up until when he went to bed. His legs were swollen like an elephant's legs." I then asked, "He did not have any activities?" He said, "What kind of activities? He had to urinate in a cup and then drink it."
Practitioners Mr. Shen Xuewu and Mr. Chen Peisheng shouted, "Falun Dafa is good" in a meeting and were locked in a solitary confinement cell. In the cell, the guards handcuffed their arms behind their backs. They wore shackles on their feet. The inmates monitored them day and night and tortured them brutally. When these two practitioners were let out of the confinement cell, I saw that there were bloody wounds on their legs and hips. Shen Xuewu could no longer bend one of his legs anymore.
However, regardless of how fierce the evildoers are on the surface, inside they are weak. There was a guard who once said, "I feel frightened when I see you so determined. I cannot fall asleep at night. I have to play computer games with my wife to get through the night."
The Fourth Prison Ward in Fanjiatai Prison was built specifically for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. The most evil people in this prison ward are the head of the prison ward, Xiao Tianbo, and political head Xiong Zuyong. These two guards were in fact frightened as well. Here are two examples. One day, Xiao Tianbo and Xiong Zuyong sat in front of the prison ward, waiting to have a conversation with a practitioner. When the practitioner arrived, Xiao Tianbo said, "Squat." This practitioner said, "I will not squat!" Xiao Tianbo said, while pointing to an inmate by him, "You see he is squatting." The practitioner said, "I am not the same as them. We did not commit any crime." Right then, Xiao Tianbo changed his facial expression, "You stand so tall, how could we talk?" The practitioner said, "Alright. Let me get a bench." The practitioner turned around and walked away, leaving the guards sitting there.
One night Xiong Zuyong wanted to talk to a practitioner. Right when the practitioner came into the room, Xiong Zuyong shouted, "Get out. You need to report first before you come in the room." The practitioner looked at him and left the room. Xiong Zuyong then shouted, "Come in." The practitioner came in without reporting at the door. Xiong Zuyong shouted again, "Get out." The practitioner went out again. Xiong Zuyong shouted: "Come in." The practitioner came in again without reporting. Xiong Zuyong did not know what else to do and lowered his voice: "Reporting at the door is the policy in the prison. I was not trying to make it difficult for you." The practitioner did not respond to him. Xiong then said, "That's fine. You can leave now." The conversation ended up with nothing happening. These two incidents happened in 2003.
When I was detained in Fanjiatai Prison, over one hundred practitioners were being persecuted there. It was regretful that one of the practitioners gave up his cultivation due to his human notions. I hoped he could become clear-minded again after he went back home.
Regardless of how much effort and money the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) puts in and what wicked actions the CCP takes, nothing can change a true practitioners' determined belief. The persecution was doomed to failure since its very beginning. This is a fact that the guards in Fanjiatai Prison all clearly know.
