The parade started off from Allen Parkway and went through downtown Houston, proceeding one and a half miles. Many people came out to see the parade, even though there was light rain. The Divine Land Marching Band, consisting of Falun Gong practitioners from Texas, performed in the parade. It was the first time this group has performed in public. While Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated exercises on the float, many people took photos and videos. While viewing the anti-torture exhibition, many people were shocked by the brutal persecution and asked for detailed information.
