Germany: Withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party in Munich

On January 20th, 2008, when Falun Gong practitioners at the Chinese Consulate in Munich were preparing to erect banners, one practitioner said very emotionally, “It’s so quick. The number needs to be updated again”. Just two weeks ago, when Falun Gong practitioners held a rally here to support the withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the number of people who announced their withdrawal from the CCP was thirty million. During the two week period, there were between thirty to fifty thousand people quitting the CCP and its affiliated organisations everyday.

Although it is January the weather was exceptionally warm. There were streams of people coming out door for a walk. Many of them stopped to read the banners outside the Chinese Consulate: “Support thirty one million people who quit the CCP”, “Chinese Communist regime harvests organs from living Falun Gong practitioners” and others. There was also an operating table simulating the organ harvesting from living people. People also stopped to read information on the exhibition boards and to talk to Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Gong practitioner Miller said that through talking to people, he felt that many people are already aware of the CCP’s atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Some saw the protest by Falun Gong practitioners at the Chinese Consulate before while others learned it from the media. Some people have relatives and friends working in China or having cooperation with China. They said that they would let their friends know about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong. Many people signed the petition calling for the end to the CCP’s atrocities.

A businessman who owns a joint venture in China happened to pass by. When practitioner talked to him, he was quite unfriendly at the beginning and stressed that he felt China is quite good. After an in depth discussion with Miller, he admitted that his joint venture in China has many problems and thanked practitioner sincerely for informing him about the persecution of Falun Gong. A cameraman working for a TV station said that his colleague is making a film in cooperation with China. He said he must tell his colleague about the persecution. An elderly gentleman asked for an empty petition form so that his family and friends could sign it to show their objection to the persecution of Falun Gong.

A couple was reading very carefully the information on the display boards. When practitioner invited them to sign the petition, the lady said they were still hesitating. They agreed that the persecution is extremely brutal, but they wanted to learn first what Falun Gong is and why the Chinese Communist regime want to persecute Falun Gong. Practitioners told them that Falun Gong is a cultivation way following the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance” and teaches people to be a good person. Practitioners also told them that learning Falun Gong is all voluntary and Falun Gong exercises are taught free of charge around the world. After hearing this, the lady became very interested because she is currently attending a qigong class and it is very expensive. Practitioners told them that because Falun Gong follows the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance”, it is completely incompatible with the Chinese Communist Party’s wicked and evil nature. Therefore, it is persecuted by the Chinese Communist regime.

Falun Gong practitioners also talked to them about the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” and about the evil nature of the Communist Party, the couple nodded in agreement. The husband thought that because of economic interest, the German government turns a blind eye to the persecution. Falun Gong practitioner sited an example: it often happens in China that hundreds of people would quietly watch the rape of woman on the street. So when various governments pretend not to hear and see the Chinese Communist regime’s atrocity, it is no different to watching woman being raped. In the eyes of God, where would be the future for such nation and such people? The couple agreed. There son is working in China and they asked for a copy of “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” and would let their son to read it. The wife signed the petition without any hesitation. The husband was still in hesitation. After signing the petition, the wife said: “Let’s go. You are not signing the petition anyway.” The husband said hurriedly, “I also want to sign the petition.”
