On April 6th, 2008, right after Tomb Sweeping Day, Falun Gong practitioners rallied at the Chinese Embassy in Munich, to stage a protest there. They displayed banners reading, “Stop the Chinese Communist regime’s harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners,” “The Chinese Communist regime must stop interfering with the Divine Performing Arts” to expose the Chinese regime’s despicable atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and its recent disgusting act of interfering with the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular. The banners attracted the attention of many local residents and the tourists taking vacation in the spring. Quite a few stopped to find out what was going on. Some said that they knew about the matter and signed the petition to stop the Chinese regime from going ahead with the atrocities.
PE teacher Susi E. Limmer told our reporter that she lives in that vicinity and often saw Falun Gong practitioners protest at the Chinese Embassy in the past years. She said that the Chinese regime’s harvesting organs from living humans is too terrible to turn a blind eye to. She also learned of the regime’s interfering with the Chinese Spectacular from the newspapers in Munich. As a result, she signed the petition to stop the Chinese regime’s atrocities. When seeing her neighbors talking to Falun Gong practitioners, she handed the petition into her neighbors’ hands immediately and invited them to sign the petition.
Before retirement, Ms. Gabriele Bonhoeffer used to work as a journalist. After spotting the banner exposing the Chinese regime’s harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, the couple slowed down to talk to the practitioners. They were pleased to sign the petition, and wished the Falun Gong practitioners good luck.
When passing the Chinese Embassy, a taxi driver stopped his car in front of practitioners. After getting out of the taxi and seeing the display boards, he talked to our reporter, “Finally I found the Chinese Embassy. I heard of this atrocity the Chinese regime’s harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, but I didn’t know the location of the Embassy. Today, when carrying passengers to pass this place, I happened to spot the rally. It dawned on me that the Embassy was here.” He stressed, “No human rights, no lives.” Before leaving, he signed the petition to support Falun Gong.
