On the afternoon of April 12th, 2008, there was a gathering in the middle of Chinatown to celebrate the occasion of 35 million Chinese people having quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations. The attendees called on those Chinese who have not quit the CCP to understand that the CCP is not China: "The CCP has committed many crimes and it is doomed. For their own safety, everyone should quit the CCP and its affiliated organisations."
The host of the rally, Mr. Cui, said that, in China, people face risks to quit the CCP. The 35 million Chinese people being celebrated overcame fear and the information blockade by announcing their statements to quit the CCP and its affiliated organisations. The number of people who have quit has increased by 50 thousand per day.
The Chairperson of the European Alliance of Communism's True History pointed out that those who quit the CCP won't be implicated when the CCP is brought to trial. Their withdrawals inspire others who are still controlled or deluded by the CCP to quit.
She pointed out that, given the Party's use of extreme terror, torture, brainwashing and murder, the CCP not only kills many Chinese people but destroys many of their souls, making them slaves of the CCP.
"I did not understand why many Chinese people defended CCP," she said. "Now I know that, by using brainwashing, the CCP makes people feel that the CCP is the same as China and that the CCP represents China. This concept has taken root in the Chinese people's consciousness."
She emphasised that the CCP is not China and that quitting the CCP does not harm China. Before this life-threatening tumour invaded China, the country was blessed with five thousand years of culture and values. After communism collapsed in Europe in the 1980s, people there initiated legal proceedings against those who committed crimes under communist rule. After the Party collapses, the Chinese people will not forgive those who have committed crimes by following the CCP.
Ms. Wang of the Toronto Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP said that it was unfortunate that the CCP controls China. She believes that it has become a concrete issue for the Chinese people to transition to a state without the CCP and recover China's traditions.
Toronto resident Wang Jie said, "The CCP's history is an account of killing. China has five thousand years of civilisation, which was damaged by CCP."
Alide Forstmanis, chairman of the Latvia National Federation in Canada, was a victim of and a witness to the disaster of communism. She said the 35 million Chinese people did the right thing to quit the CCP. She said that communism must be eliminated from the Earth. "Those who desire power have committed many wrongdoings that have affected countless people by using communist ideology. Many people have lost their lives. It is time for us to eliminate this ideology."
Ms. Forstmanis encouraged those who have not yet quit the CCP, "Don't be afraid. Many people are supporting you."
