The Divine Performing Arts of New York touring company concluded its Asia-Pacific tour and returned to the US with honor. The company would next put on two performances of the Chinese Spectacular at the Paramount Theatre in downtown Seattle from April 23rd to 24th, 2008. The State of Washington has been known for its hospitality to Asian immigrants, and learning Chinese and Chinese culture has recently become a popular trend throughout the state. Prior to the Chinese Spectacular performances, the government officials of the state sent congratulatory letters to wish the Chinese Spectacular a great success.
Governor of the State of Washington Christine O. Gregoire sent warm greetings. She stated, "I am delighted to welcome you to the historic Paramount Theatre and the much anticipated performance of the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular, presented by New Tang Dynasty Television."

Governor Gregoire also stated, "Washington State prides itself on having a thriving arts community, as well as audiences that truly appreciate the beauty of our diversity. The Chinese Spectacular celebrates China's rich culture and history through the exquisite artistry of music and dance. I applaud the producers, performers, and all of those behind the scenes who make each performance a marvel of talent and skill. Performing arts lovers across our state are sure to be captivated by the magic of this sensational show."
Brad Owen, Lieutenant Governor, also expressed his warm welcome to Divine Performing Arts and extended his best wishes. He stated, "I want to extend my very best wishes to Divine Performing Arts for a successful debut performance in Seattle. I also offer my congratulations to New Tang Dynasty Television, an organisation that has been instrumental in presenting tonight's event. May all of your gifts of music and dance add another colourful fabric to our vibrant tapestry of the performing arts in this city and in our great state."
US Senator Patty Murray stated in her congratulatory letter, "Thank you for bringing your renowned talents to Seattle for the enjoyment of the large audience present tonight. Your performance is not only about extraordinary skill in music and dance, it is a presentation of the richness of Chinese culture and history. You will find an enthusiastic audience, one which delights in the beauty of the culture you are presenting through your performances." She concluded, "We truly appreciate your honoring us with your Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular."
Congressman Jay Inslee expressed his warmest greetings for the Northwest debut of Divine Performing Arts. He stated, "I wish you great success in your efforts to revive and preserve Chinese culture through traditional music and dance - and also to bring these works to the U.S. for American audiences to enjoy. I am sure you will find much appreciation."
