Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Kim Eng lives in Virgina. He said that his family members are victims of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) tyranny. In 1960, his parents escaped China, and came to the US. Though he was born in the US, as a Falun Gong practitioner, he is subjected to the CCP's persecution.

Mr. Eng said that since the CCP launched a genocidal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in China were arrested, and have been illegally detained in forced labour camps where their organs such as hearts, kidneys, livers and corneas were harvested.

Director of the Victims of Communist Memorial Foundation (VCMF) Karl Altau said in an interview that he was aware of the persecution of Falun Gong, and that is is wrong. Mistreatment of people, human rights violations by the communist regimes anywhere, should be condemned, he explained.

Mr. Altau signed a petition supporting the global "One Million Signatures Campaign" against the persecution prior to the Olympics. He said that it is very important to show solidarity to the past and current victims - communities, societies and nations, that are still suffering under the communism, so it's a part of the goal of the Victims of Communist Memorial Foundation.

Several Chinese people held banners reading "CCP Has Killed 80 Million Chinese People."

Mr. Altau said he often read news in the Epoch Times about the trend of quitting the CCP in mainland China. He said, "I hope it's a successful trend."

He went on explain that it's important that people understand what has actually happened, and what is going on. History is important, and it's the responsibility of parents, especially those with first hand experience, to tell the children about it, so that they won't forget history.

Mr. Altau pointed out that in the modern age with the Internet, it's easy to go back to find documents and videos and photographs to share. "The main problem is that in many repressive societies, they [the authorities] block the Internet, destroy the archives, and destroy history, so it's a battle against preserving history and destroying history."

He said that VCMF is engaged in building a global virtual museum on communism, so that all nations and people will learn about the sufferings of those under the tyrannical rule of communism.
