May 13th is World Falun Dafa Day, when Falun Dafa practitioners around the world host different events and express their respect and gratitude to Master Li Hongzhi, founder of the practice, as well as raise awareness about the benefits of cultivating oneself according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.
Sixteen years ago, Master Li Hongzhi introduced the teachings of Falun Dafa to the public for the first time. Since that day, the practice has spread to more then 70 countries world-wide. On May 13th, 2000, Falun Gong practitioners decided to establish "World Falun Dafa Day".
Taking this opportunity, Falun Gong practitioners in Italy celebrated "World Falun Dafa Day" organising an information day for the public. The passers-by, of whom many were tourists coming to visit the Coliseum in Rome, could see the exercises demonstrated by the practitioners, learned about the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, and received material to get more information about Falun Gong.
