Ireland: Ireland’s Falun Gong Practitioners Celebrate Falun Dafa Day

On May 10th, Irish Falun Gong practitioners held a parade in Ireland’s capital city Dublin, as well as other activities to celebrate the sixteenth anniversary of spreading of Falun Gong. The parade began in Dublin’s Parnell Square at 2:00pm, past through China town and arrived in Dublin city centre and ended in Grafton Street.

Falun Gong practitioners held banners while others demonstrated Falun Gong exercises. They also performed a Chinese traditional fan dance and lotus dance. The atmosphere was full of harmony and the audience responded with lighthearted applause.

Demonstrating the Falun Gong exercises

Gose, a tourist from Barcelona said that when looking at the Falun Gong practitioners’ exercise demonstration he was attracted by the practitioners’ energy field. He said, "While I was watching them I can feel the harmony and goodness. I can feel the powerful energy field".

Jim Hogan, an Irish educationalist and his Germany friend happened to pass by. They were deeply attracted by the exercise demonstration and the traditional dancing. He expressed that he really couldn’t understand why the evil CCP meant to persecute such a harmonious cultivation group. He said I felt the very peace and harmony and that is what attracted me here. I heard about Falun Gong before. My feeling was the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China is not understandable.

Irish Falun Gong practitioner Ms Dai Dongxue said “today is world Falun Dafa day and we celebrated here. All of us Falun Gong practitioners have one common wish and we tender our sincere thanks to Master Li Hongzhi. He transmitted Falun Gong and let so many beings have the opportunity to have themselves elevated and purified. There is no other system, discipline or practice can achieve this. Falun Gong practitioners are now in more than eighty countries in the world and number more than 100 million people. Every walk of people, no matter what nationality, what skin colour, of what age and what occupation they are, as long as they act according to the principle of Falun Gong, they all can achieve the elevation both in physically and mentally.

May 13th is World Falun Dafa Day. Sixteen years ago, after Mr. Li Hongzhi introduced Falun Gong to the public in Changchun, the cultivation practice based in the principles of to be True, Good and Endure quickly attracted nearly 100 million people to take part in. Till now it has been spread to more than eighty different countries and regions. Yet it has received recognitions and honours from governments and politicians all over the world. On this day every year, Falun Gong practitioners in every county all held rich and colourful celebrating activities, in order to express their respect for Falun Gong and deliver their sincere appreciation to Mr. Li Hongzhi.
