The Changes in My Family After Watching the Divine Performing Arts Shows

My parents were deeply poisoned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). After the evil CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong, my parents called me to ask me to give up my practice of Falun Gong.

In September, 2006, I went back to my hometown to visit my parents. The main purpose was to clarify the truth. I intentionally prepared several CDs, one of them being the 2006 Chinese New Year Spectacular.

I know my parents like shows. When they were young, they always liked to sing. When I tried to play the Chinese New Year Spectacular for them, my mother started watching, although doubtfully. My father immediately went to his room and refused to come out after watching only a couple of scenes. I knew the evil factor that manipulated my father was afraid. It did not want him to watch. I thought: "It is fine if my mother understands the truth first." I told her that all the actors in the show are Dafa practitioners. Many of them are outstanding artists. As my mother watched the show, she murmured: "Look at their spirit. They are totally different from what the propaganda says about them." She then said to me, "I'll be honest with you. When others say something bad about Falun Gong, I do not like it." This was from the bottom of her heart. She watched it over and over again, and she learned to sing the song that Bai Xue sang, "Discard the Old for the New."

The next day, after my mother came back from outside, she told me that she was singing the song as she went downstairs. "Ring out the old Year and ring in the new... Falun Dafa is good... The path is wider and wider..." My mother found that when she started crossing the street, there were many cars. But when she was in the middle of the street, it seemed that the cars were all far away from her. There was no car around her at all. She was able to cross the street very quickly. Just like the lyrics of the song, "the path is wider and wider."

My mother was saved. I am so happy for her. When my brother and sister came to visit her, she told them that Falun Gong is good. My brother and sister were happy for her change. Since then, the voice against Falun Gong has disappeared. My father also regretted his irrational behavior in the past of opposing my practicing Falun Gong.

During the New Year this year, I brought the Holiday Wonders CD to my parents. One day, my mother called me and told me that she and my father watched it together. She was amazed: "It was so beautiful! The costumes were fantastic!"

I always thought that my child would not understand the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) shows. Moreover, he is usually very busy with his school work. He only has several hours of sleeping time every day.

Last month, I watched the 2008 Chinese New Year's Spectacular one more time. Several times, my tears almost burst out. It deeply touched my heart. I thought: "The show is directed by no ordinary person. I should let my son watch it too, even if he could understand only one performance." Several days later, my son had two days off. I saved the show in MP4 so it was convenient for him to watch. When he was done watching the first one and ready to move on to the next, I asked him whether he could understand it. He said: "Yes." He also asked if there were more. He was afraid that was it. I told him there were more fantastic ones coming up. He was very excited.

I looked inward and examined what made me think that the child "would not understand" or would not like to see the show? I am usually not interested in artistic programs, especially the different so-called "shows" which praise the evil CCP. I have formed a notion and think that the shows are all similar. When the first DPA show CD reached Mainland China, I merely felt that the performance by Dafa practitioners was very righteous, that the content was very pure and that it demonstrated the true Chinese tradition and pure culture. That was it. Later, when I read Master's lectures, I realized that the DPA shows were directed by no ordinary person. This has significant meaning. At that time, I truly realized the DPA's importance in clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings. However, while I was spreading the DPA shows, I was not able to maintain a steady mindset. I always worried that others would not understand or would not be interested. In fact, it was due to my own notions. This notion prevented me from introducing the shows to more people. When I sent forth righteous thoughts, I often eliminated all the evil factors, evil specter and rotten demons that prevent sentient beings from learning the truth. I thought about my human notions about spreading the DPA shows and realized that wrong notions by Dafa practitioners could also block sentient beings from understanding the truth. I realized what I should be doing when clarifying the truth. Regardless of whether it is the DPA shows, flier distribution or face-to-face truth clarification, as long as we always maintain our pure and benevolent mindset, in fact, Master does everything.

Through my own experience, I hope fellow practitioners, who have not realized the meaning of spreading the DPA shows, eliminate the human notions quickly. Do not let our human notions get in the way of having sentient beings understand the truth. Let us walk well the rest of the path well together.
