On July 4th, Falun Gong practitioners from Slovakia visited Poprad, a city in eastern Slovakia, in order to inform people there about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Although the weather was not very favourable in the beginning and it even rained a little, the passers-by were not discouraged. They stopped at the petition table, read the information material and signed the petition. When one young lady upon signing the petition noticed, that the petition was getting wet, she couldn’t stand it and she gave us her umbrella, which then protected the petition for the rest of the event. A journalist from a local newspaper stopped by, took pictures and wished that the weather would improve for us. Eventually it was rather nice, the sun even shone for a moment and at the end there were more then 250 signatures on the petition.
On Saturday, practitioners climbed the Kralova Holy Mountain an ancient hill known for its many legends. When they arrived at the top, it was enveloped in clouds, so they couldn’t see anything. But the practitioners were not discouraged, they sent forth righteous thoughts there and they watched the water springing from Kralova Holy Mountain (four rivers have their source from there).
