Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Meng Xianjie from Qianjin Towship, Jiansanjiang in Jiamusi is being detained at the Jiamushi Railway Police Station. His sister, Meng Xianying went with a friend to Jiamushi Railway Police Station to ask about him, but the police tried to arrest her too. While resisting the arrest her back was sprained and she lost consciousness. The Jiamushi Railway police took her to the Railroad Hospital and left quickly to avoid responsibility. With help from some kind hearted people, Meng Xianying was able to return home after the injury.

Mr. Meng Xianjie was arrested by police from Jiamushi Railway Police Station at around 2:00 p.m. On June 23rd, 2008, when he was at home. According to a witness, about ten policemen and two police vehicles were involved in the arrest. The group was led by police officers Xu Xingyong and Sun Baoshan. Police officers from Qianjin Township denied that they had anything to do with the arrests, and that police from Jiamushi Railroad Police Station just mentioned it to them and started arresting people.

Falun Gong practitioner Wenying's husband went to the Jiamushi Railway Police Station to request the release of his wife, and also wrote a public letter. After reading his letter, the police asked him if he was also a Falun Gong practitioner and about his attitude regarding his wife's practising Falun Gong. The husband responded, "I don't care what type of qigong she is practising. I just know that she became healthier after practising and she treats me better. She is even nicer to my mum, so I support her. I love my wife. We have three elderly people at home who need her care. What is your reason for arresting her? Because you arrested her, the elderly people's health is getting worse." The police officers from the station said, "We can arrest you because of your letter." They then took Falun Gong teacher Li Hongzhi's picture and forced the husband to curse at it. Wenying's husband said, "Why should I curse people?" After a whole morning's confrontation, he was still prohibited from seeing his wife, and later he returned home.

Falun Gong practitioner Wu Qilian's father and mother went to Jiamushi Railway Police Station many times. The father told the police about the mental and physical improvements in his daughter and wife after they started practising Falun Gong. He explained about how he had changed his attitude towards his daughter and wife's practising Falun Gong, from opposition to support. He also told them about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) history of persecuting people and later redressing them, in an attempt to persuade the police to act with human conscience and to consider their own futures. The police thought that Wu Qilian's words really made sense, but they said that even though Wu Qilian was very compassionate, the arrest order came from above and they told him that he could not see his wife at that time. According to a practitioner from another place who had been arrested previously and released, Wu Qilian and Wenying were taken to the detention centre purely as an evil-practical-joke set up by Wang Fengjun and some others. In fact Wu Qilian and Wenying had not distributed Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution as charged.

Recently, officers from the Jiamushi Railway Police Station were seen conducting undercover spying activities. The regulations of the Jiamushi Railway Police Station authorizes them only to handle train station and on-train related criminal cases, and they have no jurisdiction to handle community security activities. From this, it can be clearly seen that the police from Jiamushi Railway Police Station have gone beyond their jurisdiction in following the CCP's orders to persecute innocent people.
