Recently, on two consecutive days, the Mainland China CCTV programme "Focus" featured Wang Bo and his family from Shi Jiazhuang after they were brainwashed into allegedly "giving up" their belief in Falun Gong. As a person who knew the details, let me reveal some little known facts behind these programmes for the reader's reference.

How Wang Bo Was Brainwashed

Wang Bo went to Beijing to appeal by unfurling a truth-clarifying banner. He was illegally sent to the Shi Jiazhuang Labour Camp. Because he did not admit to his "crime", he was strictly monitored. In April 2001, he was considered as a "diehard" in the camp and was so sent to the notorious Beijing Lobour camp.

Jiazhuang Camp paid the Beijing Camp 10,000 Yuan for "criminal expenses". There Wang Bo was "isolated" and was deprived of sleep for 10 consecutive days. (The Constitution of China regulates that the right of taking rest is one of the basic rights of Chinese citizens) In a round-the-clock campaign of "help and educate," Wang Bo was forced to undergo brainwashing. How did Shijiazhuang Labour Camp force practitioners to "abandon" their belief?

She became unconscious, broke her bones and is now permanently disabled.

In April 2001, a male Dafa practitioner was forcibly brainwashed. The mob did not allow him to sleep and they beat and tortured him until he lost his senses. He was later sent to the hospital where he died.

A female Falun Gong practitioner named Qin was severely beaten. Qin's face was bruised, she suffered from a cerebral concussion and she was unconscious for a whole day. Another female practitioner, Xu, was forcibly brainwashed, and was deprived of sleep for 20 consecutive days. Her entire body was swollen and deformed and she is now dying.

Female Falun Gong practitioner, Wang, was frequently beat up, causing her to suffer brain damage.

When the practitioners recited Li Honzhi's short articles, the headman told the staff to put hot pepper powder into their mouths and eyes.

Female Falun Dafa practitioner, Li, was badly beaten up. The nerves in her legs were injured. Now she requires constant care and she lost her capacity to take care of herself.

During the brainwashing, electric batons, confinement, and handcuffs were used. Shijiazhuang Labour Camp brutally tortures Dafa practitioners who refuse to be brainwashed. Is this the "humanitarian care" that the voice of government boasted? Is it the civilized execution of law by the Chinese police "managing state affairs" according to law?

Wang Bo's father still remains in the Brainwashing Centre of Shijiazhuang labour Camp. His mother, Liu Shuqin, is still receiving "re-education" there. The camp forced Dafa practitioners to speak according to the requirements of the propaganda machine. Practitioners are not allowed to have their own point of view. The police thus cruelly and monstrously persecute the kindest citizens.
