The Olympic Torch arrived in Shandong Province on July 20th, 2008. Police stations in villages and towns in Shandong Province received orders from Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials to facilitate the arrests of Falun Gong practitioners. The following is a partial report of the arrests that took place.
Juchenghe Town:
On July 9th, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sui Mingying from Qiao Village, Donggejia, was arrested by Juchenghe police officers. The officers confiscated her Falun Gong books, and about 60 CDs exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Sui was then arrested and taken to a police station. Later in the afternoon, she escaped from the police station.
At about 5 p.m., practitioner Mao Xingyue from Yanjia Village was arrested and taken to a police station.

Jinggou Town:
On July 9th, practitioner Ms. Yuan Xiuzhen, from Henan Village, Jinggou Town, was arrested and her personal property was confiscated, including Falun Gong books, and materials exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Yuan is currently imprisoned at Gaomi City Detention Centre.
That same day, practitioner Mr. Zhao Lijian, from Qiansonggezhuang, was taken into custody by Jinggou Town police officers. They also took his Falun Gong books, and materials exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. Zhao is currently imprisoned at Gaomi City Detention Centre.
On July 9th, practitioner Mr. Wang Fanwu, from Liujiazhuang Village, had his personal property confiscated, including Falun Gong books, and two CDs exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. He was sent to a hospital for a physical examination and did not pass it. He was later released.

Zhugou Town:
At around 5:30 a.m. on July 9th, Zhugou Town police officers arrested Ms. Fan Meiyun in Gezhuang Village, Dongxiaozhang. Her family tried to resist and Ms. Fan locked the front door, but the officers broke the door down and arrested her. The officers lied to her family saying that she would be released at ten o'clock in the morning. However, later they returned and confiscated her personal property, and Falun Gong books. Ms. Fan is currently imprisoned in Gaomi City Detention Centre.
On July 9th, about six Zhugou Town police officers broke into Mr. Liu Diting's home at Gezhuang Village in Dongxiaozhang. Mr. Liu and his family members resisted the officers and Mr. Liu was not arrested.
On July 9th, Zhugou Town police officers broke into Ms. Zhuo Zhaoxiu's home in Majiazhuang. They tried to deceive Ms. Zhuo into going to the police station and said she would return home soon. However, Ms. Zhuo understood this tactic and refused to cooperate.

Nanguan Town:
On July 9th, practitioner Ms. Li Zhuozhen, from Xiaohu Village, was harassed by Nanguan police officers. The officers shouted at Ms. Li to open the door and when she didn't, they broke down the door and searched her house. They did not find anything and left.
In July, practitioner Ms. Zhang Meilan, from Liyuan Village, was harassed by officers from Nanguan Police Station. They took two Falun Gong books and two CDs exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. The officers took Ms. Zhang's fingerprints on July 10th.
On July 9th, practitioner Ms. Zhang Meiyun, from Chujia Village, was harassed by police officers.
On July 9th, Nanguan police officers went to Ms. Zhao Chunfang's work unit in Chengxixin Village. They took her away to try to force her to write a guarantee statement to renounce Falun Gong. She was later released.
On July 9th, practitioner Wang Ping, from Chengxixin Village, was harassed by Nanguan police officers. They took several materials exposing the persecution of Falun Gong from Wang's home and intended to arrest Wang. However, Wang resisted and escaped.

Officers from Zhaoyang Police Station took her Falun Gong books, a television, a DVD player, a satellite dish and money. Ms. Song is currently imprisoned in Gaomi City Detention Centre.
