Wugu Township, Taipei County, Taiwan held its first event of the sports season during the 2008 summer vacation to promote sports and encourage youngsters to engage in a variety of enriching outdoor activities. Four large events were held in the public primary schools.

Falun Gong practitioners participated in the event. They had a booth to display Falun Dafa books, truth-clarification literature, photos, and videos. Their participation helped people learn more about Falun Gong, and exposed the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) ongoing persecution of Falun Gong.
Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises on a stage. The hostess also learned the exercises on the spot and said that her hands and whole body felt warm. She also told the audience that she had heard that Falun Gong has an excellent effect on occupational diseases and other illnesses. She added that Falun Gong is such a good and righteous practice and stated that the CCP should not persecute it.
