Ms. Li Jianying from Gaozhou City, Guangdong Province, Imprisoned Again

Ms. Li Jianying was born in February 1964. In February 2000, when she went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution of Falun Gong, she was imprisoned in the Gaozhou No.2 Prison for almost two months. On May 31st, 2000, because she did the Falun Gong exercises in a park, she was detained and imprisoned in the Shigu Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Gaozhou City for fifteen days. In December 2000, when she went to Beijing to appeal again, she was detained for one and a half days by police from Laishui County, Hebei Province. During her detention, she was savagely beaten and interrogated many times by the police, who also took all of her money. Later on, the police informed the agents in Beijing of her whereabouts. After finding her, more than ten thugs in police uniforms forcefully arrested her, putting her in a vehicle and taking her to be imprisoned at the Maoming Building near Yangqiao, Beijing. In order to escape being persecuted, Ms. Li jumped from an upper story window and was severely injured. After four days she was sent to Beijing Boai Hospital. Without the doctor's consent, the police took her to Gaozhou People's Hospital and imprisoned her for more than two months. She did not give in to the Chinese Communist Party agents' attempts to shoot fake news footage of her. She was taken to Gaozhou No.2 Prison for forced labour. Later, she was sentenced to four years and imprisoned in Shaoguan Women's Prison and Guangdong Women's Prison. On March 19th, 2004, she was released.

In October 2007, Ms. Li was taken to Maoming Brainwashing Centre by officers of Nantang Police Station and Gaozhou Municipal 610 Office¹. Ms. Li managed to get out this evil den in four days.

Early in the morning on June 24th, 2008, officers from the Gaozhou 610 Office, the National Security Team, the police station and the residents committee arrested Ms. Li. They deceived her husband into signing a the statement for "re-education through labour" for two years. On the afternoon of June 25th, Ms. Li was forcefully sent to the Second Sub-team of the Third Team in the First District of Sanshui Forced Labour Camp, Guangdong Province. This is the second time Ms. Li has been imprisoned.
