National Day in Taiwan falls on October 10th. In preparations, the Taiwanese Association in Queensland, Australia, held a flag-raising ceremony on October 5th in front of the Taiwanese Centre in Brisbane. The organisers invited local Falun Gong practitioners to demonstrate their exercises at the ceremony.

Mr. Ke Wenyao, the chair of the Taiwanese Association in Queensland, introduced Falun Gong to the attendees. Practitioners demonstrated the exercises and talked briefly about Falun Gong. Many attendees learned the exercises. Some government officials also joined in.
The practitioners invited people to join them at regular group exercise sites and also called for help to end the persecution.
