Practitioners Ms. Hu Ying and Ms. Na Yuying from Diaobingshan City, Liaoning Province Severely Persecuted

Practitioners Ms. Hu Ying and Ms. Na Yuying from Diaobingshan City, Liaoning Province were recently arrested. Ms. Hu Ying was detained in Tieling City, where she became extremely emaciated due to maltreatment. She was no longer able to eat. The police refused to allow her family to see her. Three days ago, she was transferred to the detention centre in Diaobingshan City. The other practitioner, Ms. Na Yuying, suffered heart attacks from the mistreatment, and was sent to the hospital twice.

Ms. Hu Ying, 43, was arrested by police from Diaobingshan City when she was home on July 4th, 2008. On July 6th she was taken to Tieling City, and on September 29th, she was sent back to the detention centre in Diaobingshan City for further persecution. While there, she was unable to urinate and had to resort to using catheters. She was in such agony that she hit her head on the wall. Zang Jinglin (female), the surveillance team head at the detention centre, along with director Wang Liqun then shackled her feet to the floor.

On the afternoon of July 4th, Ms. Na Yuying, 56, was arrested by Zhang Fenglai, head of the Domestic Security Division of Diaobingshan City Police Department, when she was walking in the street, and at 5:00 p.m., her home was raided by police. Zhang Fenglai had previously arrested Ms. Na Yuying in January 2007. This time, during her term in the detention centre in Diaobingshan City, Ms. Na Yuying was so severely tortured that she suffered heart attacks and was sent to the hospital twice. On September 29th, the police transferred her to the detention centre in Tieling City for further persecution.

Ms. Na Yuying's case was dismissed by higher judiciary authorities due to lack of evidence.

Human lives are precious. No one should remain silent in the face of the persecution of innocent people who believe in the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We hope that this persecution of innocent people can be stopped immediately and that justice will prevail in the end.
