Mr. Lu Daixin, 22, lived in Dalian City, Liaoning Province. On September 24th, 2008, he went to distribute leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong in Xigang District with his mother Ms. Wang Fengjuan (also a practitioner). They were both arrested by officers from Jiusan Police Station. The police ransacked their home and detained them for one month in the Dalian City Detention Centre located in Yaojia Community, Ganjingzi District. Mr. Lu was tortured by being forced to stand for several nights, and brutally beaten. At one point he was forced to watch the cell leader (a prisoner) pull out all of another Falun Gong practitioner's fingernails, one by one. They returned home on October 23rd, 2008, but Mr. Lu died in mental anguish only ten days later on November 3rd, 2008.
