On November 15th, 2008, more than a thousand Falun Gong practitioners from twenty-five countries in Europe and Asia held a large scale parade in Berlin, appealing to Europeans and the rest of the world to pay attention to human rights and religious issues in China. They called for an immediate end to the cruel persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP that has lasted for nine years. The parade started in Berlin’s Alexander square, passed in front of the Chinese Embassy and finished at the famous Brandenburg Gate. Later that evening practitioners assembled at the Chinese Embassy where a vigil was held to commemorate all those who suffered in the persecution against Falun Gong initiated by the Chinese Communist Party.
