Falun Dafa Practitioners' Peaceful Appeal as Chinese Dignitary Visits UK

Chinese dignitary, Mr Li Ruihuan, is paying a visit to the UK. On 27th May 2002, his itinerary included a visit to 10 Downing Street, London: the residence of the UK Prime MInister, Mr Tony Blair.

Falun Dafa practitioners thought that this would be a good opportunity to make a peaceful appeal on behalf of Falun Dafa as well as clarifying the truth to the public.

Practitioners set up banners with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and Falun Dafa written on them. They handed out leaflets to the public, did the Falun Gong exercises and played the beautiful song of "Falun Dafa Hao" [Falun Dafa is Good]. They also did Fa Zheng Nian (A special meditation) at regular intervals to encourage a peaceful and harmonious environment for all. Indeed, the area in which the Falun Gong practitioners conducted their activities was like an oasis of calm and tranquility in a sea of London traffic and the loud crashing, banging, demonic type noise coming from the people who had been bussed in by Chinese authorities to mask the presence of Dafa practitioners. This noise contrasted sharply with the calm, upright conduct of the practitoners who continued to conduct their peaceful activities without allowing the interference to perturb them.
