On April 10th, 2009, Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company staged its third show in Queensland's Conservatorium Theatre in Brisbane, Australia. The splendid show on Chinese traditional culture generated warm applause again and again. Among the audience were Chinese who had come to Australia recently and were deeply touched.
New Immigrant: I wish there were more opportunities to see performances like this
Peter, a Chinese youth who immigrated to Australia six months ago, was very enthusiastic about the show. During intermission, he said, "I think the show demonstrated Chinese culture. The dancing and the songs are wonderful. I wish there were more opportunities to see performances like this."
He continued, "I rarely watched shows in China. It is a great and rare opportunity for me to see such a vivid performance. I am proud of this show, because it brings our culture to this remote place. The audience was very attentive, as was I. I am thrilled and touched to see a show on my own culture."
Chinese: I have never seen such a touching performance
Ms. Hu has been in Australia for one year. She said she liked the show very much. She said, "It is my first time to see this show. The programmes are very good, especially those on the ancient stories. I am proud to see such a performance outside of China. I hope it keeps flourishing."

Chinese Friend Weekly owner Mr. Chen Wenlong and his wife, Zhang Xiumei, also conduct business in computer imports. It is the second time they have seen a Shen Yun show. They were impressed and touched.
Mr. Chen said, "The backdrop design is great. The Yunnan dancing, with its marvellous costumes and colours, was graceful and vivid. The legend 'The Monkey King Triumphs' was portrayed through dance. Western audience members, including those beside me, could even understand it."
Ms. Zhang commented on how the backdrops melded with the stage performance: "The backdrop images are vivid. It is interesting for the people to descend from the backdrop scene to the stage and return to the backdrop scene from stage."
She felt that the most important message from the show was: "Human beings should behave with kindness." Mr. Chen said that the meaning of the show for Australia society is: "Human being should seek truth."
