Mum Persecuted to Death, Dad Detained - Letter to the Guards of Duyun Prison from Nine-Year-Old Xiao Xixi

I am only nine years old. I am an orphan and no one takes care of me. In 2001, my mum was persecuted to death by policemen from the 610 Office¹ and the National Security Group of Jiahe County, because she was a Falun Gong practitioner. She passed away before I could recognize her. Currently, my dad, Xiao Sixian is jailed in your prison. My dad did nothing wrong. Everybody thought that he was a good person. Please don't torture him any more.

My teacher told me that a prison was built to jail criminals. My dad not only did not break any law, but also was a good teacher in his school. Why is he jailed? Does my teacher tell lies? Or, are you guys liars?

Background

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Xiao Sixian was an excellent teacher at Shiqiao Junior High School in Jiahe County, Hunan Province. He was arrested three times by officers from the 610 Office and the National Security Group of Jiahe County, and sent to Xinkaipu Forced Labour Camp in Hunan Province for persecution. In the first half of 2006, after being released by the forced labour camp, the school he worked for fired him because he was not willing to write a "guarantee letter" to renounce Falun Gong. As a result, Xiao Sixian lost his job.

The mother of Xiao Xixi, Luo Qiaohong, was a teacher from Jiahe County, Hunan Province. She started to practise Falun Gong in 1998. In 2001, after appealing for justice for Falun Gong in Beijing, she was arrested at home by policemen from the local 610 Office, along with Wang Shuiqing. When she was arrested, only her mother-in-law and her two-year-old daughter were at home. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents humiliated her and detained her for several months outside of her hometown. On December 5th, 2001, Luo Qiaohong was persecuted to death. She was only 28 years old.

Lou Qiaohong's husband, Xiao Sixian, refused to cooperate with the State Security police to sign his name agreeing that his wife had died of complications of epilepsy. Therefore, he was detained at the Jiahe Detention Centre for more than nine months. In 2007, he was married again in Xishui County, Guizhou Province to Ms. Wu Shengying from Hong Kong. Before the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the CCP stepped up the persecution of Falun Gong. On July 12th, 2008, Xiao Sixian and Wu Shengying were arrested by officers from the Erlang Village Police Station and jailed in the Xishui Detention Centre. Because Wu Shengying was pregnant, she was released on July 17th, after being jailed for 5 days. Xiao Sixian was sentenced to five years in a prison. Currently, he is held in Duyun Prison in Guizhou Province.
