United States: Falun Gong Group Praised at Kansas Independence Day Parade

On July 4th, 2009, thousands of residents from the area celebrated America's Independence Day with a parade in Lenox, Kansas.

Spectators waved at practitioners

"We are fortunate to be behind your group," said a parent with a Girl Scout troop to a practitioner in the line-up area, "We enjoy your music and the peace you bring here."

She said she had seen Falun Dafa's parade last year and had good memories of it. This year, she was very happy to be close to the Falun Gong group.

Along the parade route, spectators cheered, waved, and applauded the Falun Dafa procession. After the parade, a lady from the entry behind the practitioners said, "Your group should be the last one at the end of the parade, as it brings peace to the audience."

The host of the parade said, "I love your float!"

The Falun Dafa group won the "Outstanding Entry" award.
