The most recent stop for the International Truth-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition concluded on July 12nd, 2009 in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
An older gentleman said that he saw the exhibition two years ago in Hsinchu and came to see it again this time. He paused in front of the painting Tiger Bench and told the guide that these torture means truly exist. He was a jail instructor and knew the methods to punish inmates, but he said that those means paled in comparison to those that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) police use to torture Falun Gong practitioners. He said that he admired the uncompromising courage of Falun Gong practitioners.
A mother brought her two daughters to see the paintings. After seeing the painting on the CCP's live organ harvesting, she was shocked and exclaimed, "Such things are occurring in China? This is too horrible."
Brother and sister were reluctant to leave
A brother and sister came to view the paintings and asked the guide many questions. They paused for quite a while in front of the paintings "Tolerance" and "Forced to Stay Away from Home". They expressed their sorrow after finding out that the painting "Tolerance" depicted the torture of practitioner Gao Rongrong.

Ms. Gao Rongrong was thirty-six years old and worked in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. She was persecuted many times for practising Falun Gong and imprisoned in Longshan Prison. At the beginning of May 2004, prison guard Tang Yubao shocked and burned Ms. Gao's face with electric batons for six hours. On June 16th, 2005, Ms. Gao died.
Later in the day, the brother and sister came to view the paintings again. The young man asked where the next exhibition would be, and said that he would post the notice to his school's posting board. He took home the exhibition's last flyer as a souvenir.
The practitioners' resolute faith reflect the beauty of the practice
A Chinese person from Indonesia said that belief is a wonderful thing and should not be persecuted. He thought that Falun Gong practitioners have such steadfast belief, showing the beauty of the practice. While standing in front of the painting "Buddha", he said that he felt wordless comfort.
A mother brought her two children to view the paintings. The mother listened carefully to the guide's explanation and learned about the grace of Falun Gong and about the CCP's persecution. She said, "Everyone knows that the CCP is bad, but China is a powerful country economically. Many countries do not dare to speak out [against the persecution] because of this. I hope that the CCP will fall apart soon."
An older lady had tears in her eyes after seeing the paintings and said, "How come such cruel things have taken place and so many children have lost their parents?"
The next venue for the International Truth-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition will be Machu High School, where the paintings will be shown from August 2nd to 12th.
