Pan Feng Arrested and His Wife Close to Giving Birth

At 8 p.m. on June 28th, 2009, Mr. Pan Feng from Huainan, Anhui Province was spotted while he was distributing Falun Gong DVDs in the student dormitory of Lideyuan in Binwen Higher Education Park, Binjiang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The Puyan Police Station of Binjiang District dispatched two vehicles and seven or eight policemen to arrest Mr. Pan. The police forced him to take off his shoes and confiscated his credit card, MP3 player, keys, bus pass, and other items. Mr. Pan was detained in the Puyan Police Station.

The police also ransacked his apartment, which is located in Yangjiadun Community, Puyan Street, Binjiang District. They took away Falun Gong books, thousands of yuan¹, his graduation certificate and other property.

Mr. Pan's 60-year-old father went to Hangzhou City from Huainan to visit his son and give him a change of clothes. However, his request to see his son was refused by the Binjiang Police Department of Hangzhou City. The police did not publish a list of the items they took from Mr. Pan's home and also did not ask Pan Feng's family to take anything back.

Pan Feng has been transferred the Hangzhou Detention Centre. His wife is close to giving birth.
