Falun Gong Practitioners Deliver a Joint Statement, Appealing to Governments Around the World to Help Stop the CCP Persecution

Falun Gong practitioners in 41 countries and regions delivered a joint statement to the governments of their respective countries on July 17th, 2009, calling upon the governments to show concern over the ten-year brutal persecution taking place in China, and take action to join in the efforts to stop the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is an advanced cultivation practice of the Buddha School that was first introduced to the public in May 1992 by Mr. Li Hongzhi. It is guided by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Proven by millions of practitioners' actual cultivation experiences, Falun Dafa is the great Fa and Dao. It brings true practitioners to high levels, and at the same time, plays an immeasurable positive role in improving people's physical health and moral character.

On July 20th, 1999, the CCP launched a persecution campaign against Falun Gong, triggering a worldwide effort by Falun Gong practitioners to peacefully oppose the persecution and clarify the facts. The persecution not only targets Falun Gong practitioners' belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, but also aims to destroy human moral principles and spiritual values.

A representative of the Falun Gong community who delivered the statement said, "During the past ten years, Falun Gong practitioners have been exposing the CCP atrocities in different places around the world in order to stop the persecution. More and more groups and individuals in the international community who have learned the facts have spoken out for justice to help stop the persecution. But the CCP takes no regard of all this, and still single-handedly escalates the persecution. Its evil nature is exposed. At this historical moment, only by disintegrating the CCP whose nature is devoid of humanity and morality, can we completely stop the CCP's decade-long ongoing genocidal persecution. We hope that governments will see through the CCP's coercion and enticements, and join the noble cause in supporting Falun Gong practitioners in their efforts to end the CCP persecution."
