Shijiazhuang Labour Camp Beat Practitioners Until Disabled.

Falun Gong practitioners who are illegally detained in Class Two, Section Three of the Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp have once been forced to stand for over 40 days (it happened around March 2000). Consequently, their feet and legs became extremely swollen. Some of them couldn't even put on their shoes. When they asked for a change of shoes, they were beaten up for no reason, then tied up with ropes two ropes a time. [Note: The police ties up the practitioner with a thin rope, circles the rope around his neck, and ties his hands behind his back. Then the police would use all the force they could muster to tighten the rope. The rope becomes tighter and tighter around the body of the practitioner, and makes it more and more difficult for him to breathe. The pain is so intense that the practitioner sometimes loses control of his bladder. There are instances when the ropes are tightened enough to break a practitioner's arm.] After the torture, they were forced to continue standing. During the 40 days of torture, the police team leaders forced the practitioners to do drills in formation, perform military style physical training, practice parade marching and run laps, etc. Practitioners were summoned to the police office, where they suffered from electric shocks with electric prods and beatings with rubber batons. Some practitioners lost consciousness during the torture and some became disabled.

When practitioners were on hunger strike to protest the illegal detention and persecution, the police force-fed them with food mixed with large amounts of salt and other drugs. After the force-feeding, practitioners had loose bowels and became too weak to get on their feet.

In 2000 (January 5 according to Chinese Lunar Calendar), two Falun Gong practitioners were forcibly dragged to the conference room, where about nine male and female policemen kicked and beat them, and tortured them for several hours using various torture instruments such as ropes, rubber batons, electric batons, etc. The two practitioners had their sweaters stripped off and were forced to stand in the shaded, snow-covered ground for an entire day with their hands cuffed behind their backs. To this today, the two practitioners haven't recovered from the internal injuries they received as a result of the torture.

In the forced labour camp, every Falun Gong practitioner is watched over by three prisoners (typically prostitutes and thieves) 24 hours a day. Their rights to life and living are being brutally violated.
