Female Falun Dafa practitioner Dai Xiaojing (61), was abducted by policemen from the Sanguanmiao Substation, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province as she was clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa at a county fair in March 2002. She was detained at the Zhongyuan Detention Centre of Zhengzhou City. During her time in detention, Dai Xiaojing went on a hunger strike without water for 18 days. She endured brutal force-feeding but never gave out her name. After 18 days, the police saw that she was dying and released her. She died at her home on April 25, 2002.
