Written in a textbook entitled "Thoughts and Moral Character," for 2009 Grade 6 students and published by Zhejiang Education Publishing House, there are sections defaming Falun Gong. It not only slanders Falun Gong, but space is left in the textbook to encourage the students to write their own words that attack Falun Gong. It not only threatens that people distributing the leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong will be jailed, but also urges the children to report anyone they see handing out the materials. The main theme is that "studying Zhuan Falun (the main text of Falun Gong) is against the law." This text book requests that schools hold photo exhibitions, discussion meetings, and force students to defame Falun Gong.
There is also content defaming Falun Gong in other versions of this Grade 6 textbook. From the perspective of arranging the class schedules, the idea seems to be that this section is studied before the National Day of October 1st.
We have found a common occurrence. Many parents aren't willing to let their children know the true facts about Falun Gong, as they are afraid that the children might talk about it in school, and thus cause trouble for them. Some parents who know the meaning of quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organisations hope to help their children also quit. But when the parents go home, they don't talk to their children about it. The Chinese people have been so suppressed by the Chinese Communist Party that they feel there is nothing left for them, and have placed their hope on their children. Many people who know the true facts dare not say anything. The main reason is that they are afraid of impacting their children's "growth" in the everyday world.
Fellow practitioners who can collect telephone numbers, fax numbers and email addresses of the Provincial Education Board, the Education Publishing House and the People's Education Publishing House, please do so and send them overseas so that practitioners can help to clarify the truth accordingly.
