On September 26, 2009, the Service Centre for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the state of Bavaria held an information day in the ancient city of Regensburg. The event was to support over 60 million Chinese people who have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organisations (Chinese Communist Party, its youth league and young pioneers). The CCP's atrocities were also exposed in the event.
The activity day happened to be just one day before the German general election. The city centre was full of election promotion stalls by candidates of various political Parties and their supporters. Many passers-by stopped at the information desk to learn about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. Many of them signed the petition against the persecution. Some people wanted to learn more about Falun Gong.
After having a long talk with Ms. Teng from the Service Centre, candidate Karl Sollner came to the information desk. He read in detail all the relevant materials and then signed the petition against the organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners. He said he supported the over 60 million brave people who had quit the CCP and its affiliated organisations. It is the responsibility of everyone with conscience to stop the CCP's atrocities in trampling humanity and human rights.
Mr. Albert Sinzger, a member of the Ecological Democratic Party, came to the Service Centre information desk very early. He learned about the situation in detail and signed the petition against the persecution. He said that a few days ago he received information from his Party head about the Service Centre's information day, and that he decided to come to show his support. He said that he was aware of CCP's various atrocities and strongly supported those people who have quit the CCP and its affiliated organisations. He also expressed his admiration to volunteers in the Service Centre for their continuous hard work in raising awareness. He left his business card when he left and said he wanted to keep in touch.
Candidate and TV station reporter Astrid Freudenstein said that when she taught at a university, she heard of serious human rights abuses by the CCP and its persecution of people with religious belief. She was shocked to know this time that the Chinese Communist regime even harvested organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for lucrative profits. She said she would take a copy of all the information materials home and read them carefully.
Candidates from many German political parties expressed their support in letters to the Service Centre.
Undergraduate student Ms. Katerin said that she was very concerned with what happened in China. She hoped that people from the Service Centre could hold a seminar about China's human rights situation in her university, exposing the CCP's atrocities.
