Germany: Public Condemns the Chinese Communist Regime Atrocities During Event at Cologne Cathedral

On September 5, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from the renowned city of Cologne, Germany and surrounding areas held an activity in front of the Cologne Cathedral. The practitioners displayed banners supporting the withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party and exposing the persecution of Falun Gong.

Telling people more about the persecution

The city of Cologne is located on the banks of the Rhine River. It is a must-see place for tourists from around the world. On the morning of the activity day, the area around the Cathedral was crowded with tourists. Although it rained later in the day, Falun Gong practitioners continued their efforts in telling people the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Practitioners sang a song and the singing attracted the attention of many tourists in the area. Chinese tourists also stopped to see the activity. Some of them accepted the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party booklet that exposes the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party. Some also recorded the activity scene with their camcorders, something they are not able to see in China.

After learning about the atrocity of the Chinese Communist regime harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, two tourists from the US were very shocked. One of the ladies, who is a writer, said, "This is really terrible. I can't imagine this occurs." They said that they learned about Falun Gong in the US, but they didn't realise the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong had reached such a horrific degree. They repeatedly inquired about how they could help to stop the persecution. They signed the petition calling for the end to the organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Visitor to the activity expresses his support for Falun Gong and condemns the persecution

A man passed by the Falun Gong information table and read the posters exposing the Chinese Communist regime's torture methods, and organ harvesting from living people. He said, "We are in the 21st century, but this kind of thing is still happening in this world. It is really unbelievable. I am truly shocked. I signed the petition and am totally against this kind of violence. I can also understand why so many Chinese people have quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organisations."

When two German gentlemen who work for a large company received the leaflet about Chinese people quitting the Communist Party, one of them said to the practitioners, "There is a Chinese person working in our company as a secretary. She always gets angry whenever she hears someone mentioning bad things about China." Practitioners told the two older gentlemen that under the Chinese Communist regime's deceitful propaganda, many Chinese people confuse the Chinese Communist regime with China. When people expose the atrocities of the Chinese Communist regime, these Chinese people think that they are saying that China is not good. In fact the Chinese Communist regime is not equal to China. The regime has been persecuting Chinese people. It is truly patriotic to expose these crimes against humanity.

The Falun Gong activity in front of the Cologne Cathedral has been ongoing for four years now since the publication of the Nine Commentaries. Many tourists learned the facts about the persecution and many tourists from China decided here to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organisations, and have thus chosen a beautiful future for themselves.
