State Security Arrested Three Practitioners in Hanzhong City, Shanxi Province

Mr. Liu Wei, about 50, Mr. Chen Zhengxian, about 65, and Ms. Guo Jianzhen, 52, are practitioners from Hanzhong City, Shanxi Province. They were recently arrested by the State Security Office.

Officers from the State Security Office in Hantai District, Hanzhong City charged into practitioner Mr. Liu Wei's home at about 9 a.m. on September 25th, 2009. They handcuffed Mr. Liu and forcibly pushed him into their police car. The officers ransacked Mr. Liu's home and took some of his personal belongings, including a computer, printer, printing paper and a telephone.

At noon on the same day, police officers charged into practitioner Mr. Chen Zhengxian's home. They took Mr. Chen by force and confiscated his computer, printer and other belongings.

Also on September 25th, officers from the local Resident Committee and the State Security Office arrested Ms. Guo Jianzhen, a practitioner who lives on Jiangtanxi Road in Hanzhong City, due to her refusal to report to the office.

It is not clear where these practitioners are being held. An unconfirmed source said that the 610 Office had secretly established a brainwashing centre, so it is possible they are in Hanzhong City, Wuxiang Town.
