Mr. Huang Futang, who is retired, was arrested and brutally tortured on June 6th, 2009. Without any proof, after being pressured into making a confession, Mr. Huang was sentenced to one and a half years in a forced labour camp. He was detained in the Shangdong Forced Labour Camp in Zhangqiu City. This is his second time he has been sent to a forced labour camp.
On June 6th, 2009, Du Gang, a 610 Office1 agent, along with Zhangdian District police officers Zhang Yong, Niu Yong, Liu Hongbao and Che (given name unknown), disguised themselves as plumbers and went to Mr. Huang's home. Mr. Huang's wife opened the door. They then proceeded to kick Mr. Huang, who was wearing only underwear at the time.
After the brutal beating, the officers handcuffed Mr. Huang and dragged him into their car. Mr. Huang's hands were bleeding. The police continued to abuse him on the way to Zhangdian District, Xiazhang, No. 11 Division.
Upon arriving at the police station, Mr. Huang was handcuffed onto the iron chair, where he could not move his hands or feet. Zhang Yong, Niu Yong, Liu Hongbao and Che tortured him for three days and four nights. Mr. Huang had bleeding wounds all over his body. He suffered extreme pain in his back and shoulders. His head ached, he felt very faint and suffered vertigo. His calf was also painful and swollen. His whole body was bruised and became numb.
Huang Futang did not speak to the police, so they sent him to Zibo Detention Centre. The guards in the centre saw that Huang's entire body was covered with bruises and blood, so they refused to accept him. Then police officers Niu Yong and Liu Hongbao took Mr. Huang to the Zibo No. 4 People's Hospital for an examination. They brought proof of the haematology results to the detention centre, after which Huang was accepted. Niu Yong and Liu Hongbao also threatened and cursed Huang Futang.
Huang Futang was sentenced to one and a half years in a forced labour camp without any statement. On July 4th, he was sent to Shangdong Forced Labour Camp (located in No. 29 161 of Guangzhuang Village, Zhangqiu City) No. 7 ward for torture. As a result of beatings from Zhang Yong, Du Gang, Niu Yong, Liu Hongbao and Che, Mr. Huang suffered headaches, vertigo, back and leg pain, inability to sleep, anxiety and other consequences. He was also forced to work from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on a daily basis.
Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Gong, Huang Futang has been sent to detention centres four times. In 2001, he was sentenced to Boshangqiugu Forced Labour Camp for three and a half years. In the forced labour camp, the guards spit on the ground put a lit a cigarette on it. Huang Futang was forced to sit on a stool, where his feet could not touch the ground anywhere except on that cigarette. Once Mr. Huang's feet fell down, they were burned. Even now, there are still scars on his feet from that cigarette burn.
Mr. Huang's wife was also arrested in the Zhangdian District, Xiazhang, No. 11 Division, and was detained for two days. The police extorted 5,000 yuan2 from their daughter and then released Mr. Huang's wife.
