On December 6, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Germany held a peaceful protest at the Chinese Consulate in Munich, exposing the Chinese Communist regime's ten year long persecution of Falun Gong.
On the day of the Saint Nicholas Festival, Falun Gong practitioners in Germany held a peaceful protest at the Chinese Consulate in Munich |
The day coincided with the Saint Nicholas Festival. Many residents came to visit the Christmas market. The protest by the Falun Gong practitioners in such cold weather became especially noticeable. Many passers-by stopped to see the posters displayed by Falun Gong practitioners.
A child couldn't understand why Falun Gong practitioners were doing sitting meditation here. His father explained to him that it is because the Chinese Communist regime has done many bad things and it persecutes its own people.
Mr Chen, who was participating in the activity, said, "The Falun Gong's peaceful protest against the persecution has persisted for ten years. As long as the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong doesn't stop, our protests will continue. Residents around this area are already very familiar with us. Sometimes we don't need to say anything. People would just help us to clarify the truth.
"Recently the Spanish National Court had accepted charges of genocide and torture in a case filed against the five prime culprits in persecuting Falun Gong: Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Bo Xilai, Jia Qinglin and Wu Guanzheng. The notice by the court indicated that if convicted, they would face up to twenty years imprisonment. They will also face international arrest warrants."
About this case, practitioner Ms Huang said, "People must be responsible for what they have done. The charge against the prime culprits in the persecution of Falun Gong by the Spanish National Court indicated that the counter-persecution activities by Falun Gong have achieved good effect and brought the attention of the general public. The force of justice around the world is strengthening. The persecutors will finally face the consequence."
Ms Huang specially mentioned that she had attended the second day trial of eighty-nine years old former Nazi guard Demjanjuk at the Bavaria State court in Munich. Demjanjuk was charged with assisting in the murder of 27,900 Jews with poisonous gas at Sobibor concentration camp in Poland between March and September 1943. At least 250,000 Jews were murdered in this concentration camp.
Ms Huang said: "I am very emotional. Demjanjuk was only a small part in the Nazi's entire machine to murder the Jews. But the pursuit to investigate his crime has lasted decades across nations. Although he is very old now and is taken to court in a wheelchair, the trial continues. Three court doctors confirmed that he could hear every sentence and his physical condition is fit to stand trial in the court."
Linking this case to the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, Ms Huang thinks that both the prime culprits and accomplices in the persecution of Falun Gong would not escape from being brought to justice. For these people who are involved in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, including police and personnel in the 610 Office, their future would be very bleak. "One of the purpose of our coming to the Chinese Consulate is to remind Consulate staff who are involved in persecuting Falun Gong and disrupting the Shenyen performance not to continue doing these shameful things. Otherwise their future would be very bleak."
