On January 26th, 2010, at around 2:00 pm, three Indonesian Falun Gong practitioners visited Argentine Embassy in Jakarta to submit a petition letter to the President of Argentina signed by more than 300 Indonesian citizens. The petition was in support of the capture order issued by Argentine judge Octavio Araoz de Lamadrid on December 17th, 2009.

After a painstaking investigation which took around four years, judge Lamadrid of Federal Court no. 9 gave his decision to issue arrest warrants for two high-ranking Chinese Communist Party officials (Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan) for their role in genocide and torture against Falun Gong practitioners in China.

The petition expressed the hope that during her trip to China, that the Argentine president will have the opportunity to raise a message of concern to China's current leaders regarding the systematic and illegal state-run persecution of Falun Gong in China.

The Ambassador of the Argentine Republic in Jakarta, Javier Sanz de Urquiza, himself accepted the letter, and said that the Argentine president had cancelled her trip to China though he will help to pass on the letter.
