Prior to Chinese New Year 2010, Singapore practitioners set up a booth at a New Year market in Chinatown, called Niu Che Shui in Chinese. They explained the persecution of Falun Gong to the public. Some Chinese nationals came to the booth to quit their memberships to the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organisations.

At the bustling and noisy market in Chinatown, Falun Dafa books and truth clarification materials were displayed on two tables. There was a steady flow of people passing by the Falun Gong booth.
Practitioners talked with passersby about the benefits of practicing Falun Dafa and introduced them to the principles of the practice. Several people asked for contact information, and wanted to learn the exercises. Some people bought the book Zhuan Falun in both Chinese and English.
The practitioners also explained and distributed information to those who did not know about Falun Gong and the persecution. The practitioners advised the Chinese nationals who came to Singapore to renounce the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organisations. Some of the people said that they could not obtain these materials in China, and could only see them and learn the true situation outside of China. After they learned the facts, they thanked the practitioners before leaving.
One Chinese man, who sold handicrafts at a nearby booth told the practitioners, "I often saw you speak to people about Falun Gong in the street. You are working hard." He quit the Chinese Communist Party using his real name, and thanked the practitioners for helping him learn the facts.
