At around 10:00 a.m. on March 10th, 2010, Chen Chao, political head of the Dengshibao Town Police Station; Li Qiang, head of the Shuangtaizi Township Police Station in Faku County; and several other police officers broke into Ms. Chen Shuyuan's home and arrested her.

Mr. Dong Xiufa, Ms. Chen's husband, was at home at that time. He wanted to hold the police officers back, but Chen Chao stopped him. The officers carried Ms. Chen into their car and took her to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp in Shenyang.

Ms. Chen, a Falun Gong practitioner, lives in Dengshibao Town. She has suffered numerous occasions of persecution instigated by officers from the Shuangtaizi Township Police Station and the Dengshibao Town Police Station. On the evening of March 16th, 2009, she and other practitioners were arrested while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong in Shuangtaizi Township. Li Qiang and several police officers extorted confessions by way of torture that same night. Later, Ms. Chen was sentenced to three years of forced labour, to be served in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. Because she was in poor physical health, she didn't pass the physical and was sent home.

On January 16th, 2010, Chen Chao and other officers, including Liu Yongshan and Nie Guozhi, broke into Ms. Chen's home and confiscated her personal belongings. On January 20th, Chen Chao and the police again arrested her and took her to the Shenyang Detention Centre. When she didn't pass the physical, she was again sent home.
