An Elderly Lady's Story of Her Family's Trust in Dafa

In April 2009, people in my area were out walking and talking after a rain.

I sat down beside an elderly lady and we started to talk. After a few words, I started to clarify the truth to her and took out a small token about Falun Dafa to give her. I told her to remember "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good."

The lady saw it and told me excitedly, "I know, I know! I have one, too." She then took hers out of her pocket and told me her story.

She is 68 years old and is from Qingchuan, Sichuan Province. She has a sister that is 88 years old. Her sister was partially paralyzed in the 90s, so she could not took care of herself. Her children were not living in the same town, so the lady was taking care of her sister. Later on her sister became a Falun Dafa practitioner and regained her health. Her sister clarified the truth to everyone she met. Her family of over 20 relatives all quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

During the Sichuan earthquake in 2008, not one of her relatives living in Qingchuan, Wenchuan, was injured or killed.

The lady's family was sleeping after lunch that day when they got a phone call to pick up their grandson who was in kindergarten. They woke up at 2 p.m. instead of their usual wake up time of 3 p.m. They locked the door and went to the bathroom when the horrible earthquake happened. Suddenly, all three of them were standing at the courtyard about to go out. The ground was shaking badly, and their house collapsed. There was dust all over the place, and the sound was very loud.

They all became unconscious and could not think. It was as if their lives were ending. They had no clue how much time had passed. When everything had quieted down, they realized they were still alive. When they opened their dusty eyes, they were amazed that no one was hurt.

They rushed to the kindergarten class and found their grandson safe among the few children that were alive. Gradually they got in touch with all their relatives and found out that everyone was fine. The lady's sister told everybody it was because of their trust in Falun Dafa that saved them.
