A policeman came to Ms. Lin Shuqing's home claiming to be there to check her residence card at around 9:00 a.m. on April 23rd, 2010. Ms. Lin responded that her residence card was at her daughter's home and didn't open the door.

The policeman didn't leave, however, and instead ordered Ms. Lin's neighbour to trick Ms. Lin into opening the door. Upon hearing the familiar voice of her neighbour, Ms. Lin opened her door and the policeman immediately rushed into her home. He searched her home and then called the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and three policemen, who also came out to participate in the search.

The four policemen confiscated her desktop computer, laptop, laser printer, colour inkjet printer, a watch worth over 2,000 yuan1, a DVD player, an MP3 player, a mobile phone, three lamps, two boxes of printer paper, and 10,000 yuan in cash without documenting what they took. None of Ms. Lin's belongings or money have been returned.
