I am a 34 year-old woman from Hunan Province. On July 1, 2000, when I appealed on behalf of Falun Gong in Tiananmen Square, the police pulled at my hair violently and dragged me along the ground in public. They beat and kicked me until I was black and blue before sending me to a local police station in Daxing County, Beijing, where they interrogated and threatened me one by one. I was not allowed to sleep or to practise Falun Dafa exercises. Since I kept attempting to practice, the police would pour buckets of water on the top of my head throughout the night. By the morning I would be completely soaked. At one point, with no explanation, several policemen put me in a car. After a long drive, the car stopped at a place called the "Great Sand Pit," which was said to be an execution ground. They dug a large ditch and violently pushed me into it. They tried to bury me alive, when one of them said, "No one should leak a word about this. Whoever discloses the information will be responsible for it!" As the dirt reached the level of my mouth and nose I could hardly breathe. I heard someone ask me, "Would you like to die?" I replied, "I will not die. I must go on to speak on behalf of Falun Gong." The police held a discussion amongst themselves and then dragged me out of the hole. After sending me back to the local police station they still didn't allow me to sleep and continued to interrogate and threaten me. The next morning, another shift of police officers unleashed some police dogs that bit me and tore into my clothes.
I am a Falun Gong practitioner, a good person following the principles of "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance," but the Chinese police abused me like this. I ask you, where is the justice?
