On October 10th, Ms. Yang Yufeng was abducted by police officers from the West Street Police Station, which is under the Chengqu Police Department in Jincheng City, while she was distributing flyers and informational materials about Falun Gong and the persecution.

That evening Ms. Yang's home was ransacked by officers from the Domestic Security Division, which is connected to the Chengqu Police Department. Commander Dong Chaoyang lead these officers along with other officers from the West Street Police Station, a total of eight officers in two police vehicles.

Zhang Miangui, the director of the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong), who is also a deputy director of a Chengqu District Office in Jincheng City, was in charge of interrogating Ms. Yang. During the interrogation, Commander Dong was barking and swearing frantically. He tried to intimidate and threaten Ms. Yang, acting more like a bandit than a police officer.

One of the officers from the Domestic Security Division, Wang Desheng, used a needle to deface the picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Teacher Li Hongzhi, while demanding where Ms. Yang got the materials. He did this during every question. When Yang tried to stop him from defacing the picture, he became more unscrupulous and finally stepped on the Teacher's picture.

The director of the West Side Police Station, Zhong Hua, along with officers from the Domestic Security Division, took turns interrogating Ms. Yang. This elderly lady was interrogated throughout the night until noon the next day. She was so tired that she almost passed out.

The deputy commander of the Domestic Security Division,Yuan Jinyun, also participated in this interrogation and the ransacking of Ms. Yang's home. She is searching for more practitioners who know Ms. Yang.

According to the law, a seventy-one-year-old lady cannot be detained in a detention centre. However, officials from the Domestic Security Division arbitrarily changed her age to sixty nine in order to detain her.

Ms. Yang was released on October 21st, after she was maltreated over ten days. Currently, officials from the Domestic Security Division pressure her daughter, who is also a Falun Gong practitioner. Ms. Yang still lives under constant surveillance and her entire family remains under pressure.
