Four officers from Tongliang County Police Station in Chongqing City forced their way into the home of Ms. Wu Gongbi on April 22nd, 2010. They ransacked the place and took Ms. Wu to Tongliang Detention Centre. She was put on trial on September 22nd, and is currently detained by the local 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong).
Ms. Wu started practising Falun Gong in 1997. Her illnesses soon disappeared after she began the practice.
When the persecution started in July 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal to the central government. She was sentenced to one year of forced labour in 2001. Her husband, who could not take the pressure of the persecution, eventually died as a result of excessive drinking.
