Poland: Practitioners Spread the Facts in the City of Coal

On the weekend of December 11-12, 2010, a number of Falun Gong practitioners in Poland came to the southern city of Katowice to introduce Falun Gong to the public and to spread the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

In the heavy snow in Katowice, the Falun Gong practitioners demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises and spread awareness of the persecution in China.

Katowice is located in the south of Silesia in Poland. It is a city with a long history. It is rich in coal with a high yield, making up over 98% of the national coal production in Poland. Therefore, it is well known as the Coal Capital of Poland, and is also one of the world's top ten coalfields.

The Falun Gong practitioners of Poland came to the popular street of Stawowa in Katowice, where they set up a yellow tent and display booth. They introduced the practice to pedestrians and made people aware of the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China for their firm belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

At the display booths were the books, Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and Bloody Harvest, as well as leaflets. The practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises along with the peaceful music, which attracted many citizens in spite of the heavy snowfall.

People were shocked by the photos and descriptions on the display boards. They viewed photos that showed the group practice of Falun Gong practitioners in China before July 1999 and the persecution occurring today in China. For their beliefs, Falun Gong practitioners are imprisoned and endure beatings, torture with electric batons, and even organ removal. People said that this persecution should not be tolerated in the twenty-first century. They told the Falun Gong practitioners to keep up their efforts to stop it.

On Sunday, the Falun Gong practitioners went to Gliwic, a satellite city of Katowice, and continued to spread the news about Falun Gong inside the famous Tropical Botanical Garden. A local photographer who specializes in culture took photos when the Falun Gong practitioners were doing the serene sitting meditation. He said he would upload these photos to the online picture gallery so that more people would see and feel the beauty of Falun Gong.

Before leaving, the Falun Gong practitioners had a group photo taken in front of a huge Christmas tree to express their best wishes to their compassionate great Master and a Happy New Year!
