Falun Gong Practitioners from Heyuan City, Guangdong Province Detained

The following are Falun Gong practitioners in Heyuan City, Guangdong Province who are still being detained:

Mr. Huang Jin, Mr. Ye Zhijian and Ms. Deng Shi'e were arrested on August 12th, 2007. They were sentenced to six years, five years and four years in prison, respectively. They still have not been released.

Ms. Huang Yuying was released after having been imprisoned for six years. Shortly after her release, she was once again arrested on July 18th, 2010 in Boluo County, Huizhou City, and was sentenced to five years in prison.

Ms. Song Dongmei and Ms. Huang Xiulian who had been imprisoned three times before, were arrested one morning around August 26th in Zijin County, Heyuan City. They were subjected to one and a half years of forced labour and are now detained in the Sanshui Women's Forced Labour Camp in Guangdong Province.

Ms. Liu Sufen was arrested on October 13th. Officers from the city's 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and from the police department ransacked her home and took her to the Heyuan Detention Centre. Ms. Liu was subjected to two years in prison on November 11th, and is now in the Sanshui Women's Forced Labour Camp.

Ms. Huang Dejiao, Ms. Luo Yunxiang and Ms. Guan Cailan from Longchuan County were arrested on September 23rd, 2009 by officers from the Longchuan Domestic Security Division. They were taken to a detention centre where they were subjected to physical torture and mental torment. Longchuan Court officials tried the three elderly practitioners in late 2010, and sentenced them to three to four years in prison. They are still in the Longchuan Detention Centre.

Ms. Lui Cailian, an elementary school teacher in Lianping County was arrested around 8:00 a.m. on November 6th, 2010. They police ransacked her home and took her into custody. Her whereabouts are unknown. Around 8:00 a.m. that day, more than a dozen officers from the county's political and judiciary committee, 610 Office, police station and town government came to the door of Ms. Liu's home. Ms. Liu refused to open the door for them, so they broke in, ransacked her home, and took Ms .Liu into custody. Two officers returned to Ms. Liu's home around 2:00 p.m. that same day and informed her family that Ms. Liu has been sent to a so-called “study class,” but would not tell them the actual location.
